Born in 1963 and being of the Han Nationality, Zhang Jianhua, a male local of Lixian County, Hunan Province, is a professor of College of Life Science of Hunan Univresity of Arts and Science. In 1984, he graduated from Hunan Normal University and received his bachelor’s degree, majoring in Ecology. In 1992, he graduated from Zoology Institute of China Academy of Sciences and obtained his doctor’s degree. From August 1992 to August 2001, he worked in Entomology Institute of Guangdong Province. From December 1995 to March 1996, he studied as a visiting scholar in Chinese University of Hong Kong. In September 2001, he became a teacher in Hunan University of Arts and Science. In August 2003, he was promoted to be a professor. Mr. Zhang Jianhua focuses mainly on the study of animal ecology. In the past years, he finished several scientific research projects of various levels, published 16 academic papers and took part in editing A Complete Collection of Pesticide Products. Mr. Zhang Jianhua has been engaged in teaching such courses as Zoology and Environmental Protection. His righteous manner, rigorous scholarship and immense passion for teaching win him great popularity among students. He emphasizes stimulating students’ interest and innovation. He often integrates new knowledge into lessons to broaden students’ horizons.
